Pop Culture Question:
What is a “boo”?
I heard this word used in not one, but two different song’s choruses. Songs about wishing someone was my “boo” and another about being with my “boo”.
I think “boo” is a term of endearment. If I am right then my question is: Since when?

I think it means "girlfriend" or "boyfriend" yo.
In high school, there was a girl who maintained that her parents nicknamed her "boo" because she was born with a superfluous asshole. "Boo," apparently, signified "extra booty."

"Boo." What the hell man? What the hell?
Boo is what ghosts say when they jump out and scare you. I'm hilarious!
I forgot to answer your second question. The answer is 1998. Ghosts were invented in 1998 by NASA.
I agree with dr. mystery. Ghosts say boo. And they do jump out at you. And they are not at all shiny. They are scary. Although the extra asshole theory is even scarier.
